Following a background in programming and systems analysis Kerry began teaching classes in "Family History Research using the Internet" at adult community colleges in Sydney in 1997. Kerry is on the Education Committee of the Society of Australian Genealogists, and presents seminars and classes there as well as at adult education colleges, and accepts occasional speaker roles elsewhere. Kerry has
researched her own family history since 1984 and has 16,000 names in
her database of her own and her husband's family trees, predominantly
from Australia, New Zealand, England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales, but
also including family branches in Canada, USA, South Africa, India,
Germany, Poland, Norway and Russia.
And as a relative newcomer to genealogy I feel I was fortunate to have Kerry as my teacher. She is patient and concise, and her depth of knowledge and resources she happily passes on have been invaluable in helping to break down those "brickwalls". I highly recommend her courses to everyone. C.M.
, Sydney Right from the start of the course, I found Kerry's methods of presenting the information very easy to understand, which lead to a gradual confidence in my ability to use the Internet for family research. L.H., New South Wales
